BOE Technology Group, one of the world’s largest mobile display manufacturers, has announced its next-generation ADS Pro (IPS LCD) display for smartphones. This advanced display technology could be a game-changer, especially in the budget-friendly segment. Here are the details.
Flagship Display Quality for Budget-Friendly Phones
BOE’s new display, measuring 6.74 inches and boasting a sharp resolution of 2720×1224 pixels, reaches a pixel density of approximately 443 ppi. This allows users to experience exceptionally clear and detailed images. It will also offer a seamless user experience with support for a variable refresh rate of 120Hz or 144Hz. The variable refresh rate is expected to operate at fixed increments of 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz/144Hz.
One of the panel’s most impressive features is its screen brightness, reaching 1,500 nits. This high brightness will ensure comfortable viewing, especially in outdoor use. In addition to all these superior features, its approximately 20 percent lower energy consumption compared to similar panels also offers a significant advantage in terms of battery life.
BOE’s new ADS Pro display is expected to appear in affordable phones under €150 soon. This move aims to significantly improve the display quality of budget smartphones and provide consumers with a better visual experience.
